Borussia Monchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has injured himself during training ahead of his team’s clash against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hamburger-SV-c39485. Both teams are due to lock heads on Saturday, September 17, at Imtech Arena.
The shot-stopper is reported to have lost two of his teeth after colliding with his goalkeeping coach, Uwe Kamps. While the coach was knocked unconscious for some time, both individuals are now doing well in the hospital.
This campaign, the youngster has been a revelation last season’s relegation contenders, but his participation in upcoming encounters in serious doubt. The player has expressed anger at his injury but is confident of making a quick recovery.
When asked about the incident, the shot-stopper told that both he and his coach went for the same ball while training, and eventually collided with each other. Stegen was glad to know about the improving health of Kamps, hoping to see him soon back on the
training ground. The teenager, though, is determined to play despite losing his teeth as Gladbach are going through a purple patch at the moment.
Meanwhile, Monchengladbach coach Lucien Favre is pleased not to have lost his first choice keeper for a long period. He is still unsure whether to include the teenager for upcoming encounters and has left the verdict to the club’s medical staff.
The goalie made his debut for the senior side during the last season and has been a regular part of Favre’s plans since then.
