Borussia Monchengladbach’s Rainer Bonhof all praise for manager Lucien Favre- Bundesliga news
Borussia Monchengladbach Vice-President Rainer Bonhof has hailed manager Lucien Favre for the brilliant beginning to the current season. He claimed that the manager has instilled confidence back in to the side which is shown in
the performances throughout the campaign. He added that the club’s main aim at the start of the season was to avoid relegation and put in some impressive performances against the big teams.
The Foals have been impressive right from the start of the season and are sitting in fourth place with 23 points from 12 games, five points adrift of leaders Bayern Munich. They set the record straight on the opening day of the
campaign when they downed Bayern Munich 1-0 at Allianz Arena and proved that they are contenders for the title.
Bonhof praised manager Lucien Favre for guiding the side to a string of brilliant results and admitted that the team has improved hugely under the new manager. He insisted that Favre is a realist and constantly strives for improvement
from the squad and wants the players to perform at their full potential.
“Lucien Favre tightened things up in a few areas and did a very fastidious http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684. Another of Lucien Favre's qualities is that he remains true to himself, regardless of how results are going. He's a realist,” he was quoted as saying
in an interview.
The chief refused to set any targets at this point of the season and warned his side against complacency. He admitted that the club’s only target this season was to avoid relegation and that target has been more or less achieved.
He added that the team can get more good results if they are consistent until the end of the campaign.
“We're going well at the moment and we've got 23 points. We're having a very good season, but it's still only twelve games old. 40 points have invariably been enough to avoid relegation in the past and hat remains our primary goal.
Anything else is a bonus,” he concluded.
