Bose lifestyle 25 system and Panasonic Plasma Tv...

I have a Bose Lifestyle 25 system that has been working just fine on a large screen tv for the past few years. I just purchased a new Panasonic Plasma 50 " TV. Everything is hooked up right. The problem is that the Bose remote, which should work anywhere in the house will only work when it is right above the Bose lifestyle system. If I move the remote 24 inches away, it stops working. If I turn off the Plasma TV, the Bose system will work fine anywhere in the home. I have called both and Bose and Panasonic and they keep telling me that the other company is the problem. Bose says that Panasonic Plasmas have EMI (electro magnetic interference) that is their fault. Panasonic says Bose has the problem. I have moved the unit away from the tv, I have changed the cords to other separate outlets. I moved the power cords away from each other. I just do not know what to do other than return the Plasma. Any help would be appreciated!
