Bose[500W] to sony[1000w] ???

hey guys,i'm using the bose acoustimass 6 speakers now[i.e 5.1] with close to 500w rms and about 150w+ for the sub.....

i found this sony model on the paper [DAV-DZ870] which has an output of 1000w rms and sub power of 285w rms........jus wanted to know if i cud go for it....

main purpose is to watch movies and i need a lot of bass....any help wud be appreciated

  1.  there is no point of comparing between both, bose is a world famous brand, those who dis agree about bose,thats only because they don't havemuch to spend so they find it overpriced as well and don't let others to purchase it.


    well sony can be 2000 watts but thats fake, size of the amp tells every thing , if you compare sonys amp and normal reciever-amp look at the sizes , and then how can a small stupid amp can do better than a one which is more expensive and has many kind of stuff fitted in them.


    they are normally 600w buts thats real power not like sony panasonic lg and other stupid brands when it comes to bose.


    yes there might be much better brands out there but boss is one of them and you cant compare these japenese brands.


    If you want quality then go for bose don't listen to those who cant afford .
