Ok well i went to paris for the first time today there where 100,s of bosnia people with notes in english and french saying something like my husband is dead i have kids and they need to eat please give me money.

I gave one some money at the eurostar train station but when we got to the eiffel tower there where more there and they asked my mum for money since she did not have any the

bosnia woman told me mum to f off and pushed her over.

my dad later saw another bosnia woman with a bag full of money of which she took out a expensive watch and put it on her wrist.

My question is are they scammers who are out to get easy money.

I tell you if it happened in england and she pushed my mum in england i would have flawed her one.I would not do that in france becuase i would not have wanted to be detain in france for slapping some bosnia person.

If it is a scam then i wonder where all the money goes.

Someone must be behind it all.

  1. I am surprised by your way of saying things. It's not because one person was aggressive with you that you have to insult a whole country and make other people say so much bad things about the poor people who are leaving in Paris. Paris does not belong to the tourists. You can simply smile to these people or ignore them without any anger and you'll be fine. They have the right to be here as much as you have the right to visit and if you are not happy with this situation in Paris then i am pretty sure there is no country in the world you can visit unless it is all reserved to the tourists. I traveled a lot in poor countries and never said anything like that about poor gypsies ; perhaps it because in France we learn that everyone is a human being. I went to England and America and you have a lot of poor people but they have to stay in the bad areas like you call them. In France they can get even medical care and i am really proud to be a citizen of such an open minded country.

Also i would like to tell you that i think that you are some kind of rednecks since most Americans and British would never say such racist things after a trip in Paris. Those always see the bottle half full and we love them. Those like you should just  not expect Paris to sell her soul to make sure nobody bothers weak people with angry faces like you and your mom. Don't visit my town anymore if it's to spit on our homeless people in Yahoo...please!

  2. very likely to be Rumanians

  3. They are Romanians and for some reason this year there have been heaps in Paris. I never experienced them in Paris before, but all this year every time I have been they have been everywhere. They are a scam.

Just ignore them or push them out of the way. If the touch you then sort them out. Romania is in the EU now, they have no excuse for begging!

The French hate them also and the French Police are always after them.

  4. No, they are Bosnians. I was just in Paris this summer, and I got chased by a Bosnian gyspy in front to Notre-Dame. It was so scary. Yes, they are trying to get your money, they will beg and beg and beg, then once they see where you reach for your money, they can pickpocket you later. Just tell them you don't speak english.

  5. I also ran into them at the Eurostar station, but I thought that they were gypsies, not Bosnians.

  6. Well I'm English and live in Paris and i can tell you that I'm sick of that side of living here.

I cant even walk down the street without these people bothering me 'excuse me do you speak English?'flashing their piece of card in my face.

I do ignore them but there is getting more and more here.

A month or so ago my wife and i were having our meal in McDonald's and these people just came along begging everyone for food and drink.

I think these people are gypsies from Romania. I have even been mugged twice by Algerians. Just last night my wife and i was walking home after the Rugby and a group of Algerians called me 'English motherf****r'.

In my opinion these people are ruining the beauty that is Paris,Paris isn't France.

Hey cameleon id love to know what part of Paris you are from??? You are wrong the French hate these beggers and do not like them at all in your country, they are here just to beg not for a better life. They are a pain in the a** for everyone.I am not a tourist as you say,i am English and married to a French woman so i have every right to be in France. If you want to turn a blind eye at these people then thats your progative,i can tell you that your the 1st French person ive come across who does not have a problem with these people...

    Wake up mate.

  7. It sounds like you were unlucky. There are indeed lots of apparently foreign beggars, usually with notes explaining their situation because they don't speak French/English. Generally speaking people who live here assume that it's a scam and don't give them anything. Going round the carriage on a train/metro is a very common tactic. Usually the best strategy if you don't want to give is to just ignore them or shake your head. I've never seen any of them giving anyone any trouble like your mum, so like I said you were unlucky - I hope it didn't spoil your stay here.

  8. Bosnians aren't like that. We are too proud to do something like that ok so shut up.

  9. Graham is right.

We have alas groups of them living off begging and thieving, and what's worse we also have handicapped ones brought over by the different eastern mafias to beg for them.

Giving them money only makes it worse, it encourage both the Human trafficking and the coming of more of those groups. If they try to push you or grab your bag raise a ruckus, call for the police, they will run away. They are used to people too polite, or too startled, who won't react. Bite back and they leave you alone. Careful about the kids, when one distracts you the other takes your wallet, they know they won't go to prison so their parents send them to steal for them.

Sorry you had to get hassled like that. The problem of a city like Paris which sees some 40 millions tourists a year is that they attract the vultures as well and if the police can keep a lid on it they can't stop it totally.

  10. they are more likely Romanians, Albanians, and or Gypsy's

Don't give them money, but don't assume they're Bosnian.  Bosnians don't usually do those things.

  11. Be thankful they're not in Britain...but give it time.

  12. I saw them all over paris ... they looked more like gypsies to me. Anyway I once saw them spending their money in a lingerie shop ! I never gave them anything
