Bosnia national football team coach, Safet Susic, is optimistic ahead of the match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 and praised the squad quality of his
rivals.
Susic boasted that his ability to foresee the future and said that his team will triumph against the Portuguese contingent.
"I have the habit of predicting and I predict we can. I want to be and I'm optimistic from the moment I heard the name of the opponent in the playoffs," the tactician remarked.
However, he admitted that they have one of the toughest opponents they could have gotten.
While analyzing Portugal squad’s regular first team members, he highlighted the quality his opponents boast in the attacking department.
He praised the form of their forwards and talked about the great run Cristiano Ronaldo finds himself in for Real Madrid. Susic said that they all are special players who can decide the fate of a match singularly.
"They are dangerous, they have good players in all lines, Ronaldo, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nani-c27299, Helder Postiga ... Then there are another three or four offensive players who can decide the game."
Susic pointed towards the exceptional goal tally of Ronaldo in the white jersey and said that any player chosen to mark him will have an uphill task.
"He can anyone stop him. How will you mark a player who in 105 or 106 games scored 100 goals?" Susic asked.
Portugal are not the ideal opponents Bosnia would have hoped for. The odds are heavily stacked against Susic’s team especially with a chance of entry into Euro 2012 on the line.
Susic is hopeful and pointed towards their good record of late.
"We have not suffered any loss in the last six games and have conceded just one goal from a penalty. Some games were extraordinary. All these are facts that push me to be optimistic," he said.
However, history is against Bosnia. The last time the two teams locked horns was in the playoffs for a berth in 2010 World Cup finals. As fate would have it, the Portuguese progressed after winning the low scoring tie with a 1-0 aggregate win. Nevertheless,
Susic feels his team is ready for the biggest challenge of his coaching career.
