Boss dd7 stupid question?

hey. so i don't understand effects processors very well. while reading up on the boss dd-7 i saw that it has 40 seconds of record time....does that mean that i could essentially use it as a make shift phrase recorder/loopstation. i know that it wouldn't actually compare, but if i only wanted to loop a 5 second riff, maybe 3 or 4 times would this suffice.

Sorry but that is not what it means.  But it should be compatible with Windows media if you want to use it in conjunction with it.
