  1. They all make good drivers , I would say that the T1 would be superior to the others you have listed, they don't really compare that well , if you were comparing the type X , or mtx 9500, it might be a little closer , but the T1 is in a different class than the type r, or G5

    good luck.

  2. The Boston G5 is only 450 RMS, but produces excellent sound quality and sounds Really great in a Small sealed enclosure.

The Alpine Type R is Highly durable and can handle power well over the 500w RMS.

If you are a Fosgate fan, then you know plenty enough about the T1. You can't go wrong w/ it, and it handles a fair amount of RMS - 600 watts. Little of both when in the right enclosures - SQ and SPL.  Pure quality. :D

Consider what you are looking for as far as what you want a subwoofer to produce for you, consider your budget, and go for it! They all Pound.

The T1 is about 190 on Ebay.

Type R is about 135 on Ebay or a little over 250 w/ a 4 yr. warranty at Best Buy.

G5 is buy one-get one free on Crutchfield for 400 w/ warranty.

If you are unaware, check out some of them in action on Realm of Excursion.

  3. i would go with the alpine type x 12 i have not Heard many 12s hit as hard as this one the type r is Fine and all but for just a little more money you get twice the sub hope this helps

  4. the T1 OWNS the Type R, no question.  the P3 beats the Type R.  Go with the T1
