Boston Bruins plays host to New Jersey Devils in the third of their four scheduled meetings

The first game on Tuesday will be played at the TD Garden as Boston Bruins plays host to New Jersey Devils.
This will be the third out of the four scheduled meetings between the two teams during the course of the season.
Out of the two games that have already taken place during the course of the season between the two teams, Bruins have won both, 4-1 and 3-0, respectively.
The last game between the two teams saw Bruins’ goalkeeper, Tim Thomas, coming up with a decent performance that saw him making 28 saves during the course of the game.
On the other hand, Jordan Caron will be hopeful of a good performance ahead of the game as he scored his first National Hockey League goal in the first meeting between the two teams.
Despite the fact that Bruins have two games in hand ahead of the encounter, their lead has shrunk to only a single point in the Northeast Division.
Canadiens will be hosting Buffalo Sabres in their next game which will be very close.
Devils, on the other hand, needs to win every one of their remaining games if they want to make their way into the playoff cut.
Tomas Kaberle was traded to Bruins this past month and they faced Toronto Maple Leafs in their last game.
The return of the player to his previous home was a decent one as they cheered Kaberle. However, Bruins couldn’t match Maple Leafs as they rallied passed them and won the game 5-2 in the end.
Bruins levelled the scores on 1-1 but after this Toronto bagged four consecutive goals to emerge as winners of the game.
"I think this last 11 games will be very good for our hockey club, and I think we'll be fine," he said. "I'm looking at the big picture and I know that the guys care in here and the guys want to win. We'll get our focus and regain it."
Bruins have played 71 games during the course of the season out of which they have won 39 games in regulation time and 10 games in overtime to score a total of 88 points.
Devils, on the other hand, have played 72 games during the season out of which they have won 34 games in regulation time and four games in overtime to score a total of 72 points.
Devils were going on a good run until January when they dropped quite a few points.
However, they came up with a decent performance in their last game that saw them winning the game 3-0 in the end against Columbus Blue Jackets.
"We didn't really get too comfortable after we got up 3-0 … we stuck to the way that made us successful early in the game," said Nick Palmieri, who also scored. "It was a complete game for us tonight."
