Boston Bruins ready to be championship repeaters after wild 2011 Stanley Cup Finals -NHL Update
The 2011 Stanley Cup Finals might have been one of the most exciting seven-game series the National Hockey League (NHL) and fans witnessed in recent years. Actually it was termed as the most popular ever in history, which gives the champions, Boston Bruins,
motivation to repeat it again.
For Boston Bruins players, not being called the champions would be something that would take time to getting used to, so they are not willing to go there in the first place and have committed to bringing back the most coveted prize in the hockey world home
again.
Like an animal getting a taste of human blood, Boston cannot seem to quench its thirst of the Stanley Cup, giving them reason to keep working hard, more than ever before.
"I think you get a taste of winning, it's a pretty good taste, so we got a great group of guys, great character, still fairly young team for the most part that I think aren't tired of winning yet", said team president, Cam Neely, said. "I think our future,
both this season and for years to come, bodes pretty well for us. We're going to have some new faces in the lineup that haven't necessarily won, so you know they're going to be hungry as well".
Tim Thomas was probably the most recognised figure after Boston won the cup and before that, hardly anyone knew that he was their main goalie in the net.
Coming from a blue-collar background, Bruins understand what winning is and how to get their without the shortcuts. For them it is all about working hard and keeping focus on your goals.
No matter how good the Boston line-up might be, they realise that there are a number of contenders up for the championship next season, but being Bruins, it only gives them more reason to grab that cup.
It will certainly be interesting to see what Boston Bruins are capable of next season as they enter it being the defenders of the Stanley Cup.
After a offseason full of celebration and partying, Bruins get back to work on Thursday, October 6, against Philadelphia Flyers at home.
