Boston Celtics: Teams that can become NBA title favourites with Grant Hill (Part-1)

Grant Hill has almost spent 16 years in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and his free agency at this stage of his career is provoking many teams to pursue him. Hill, having vast experience in the league, still has some
years left in his professional basketball career. This offseason, he has become a free agent and now wanted to land at some title contender team. The 38-year old player has not made any move towards finding any team for his future as the NBA lockout is barring
him for any further move.
The league has locked its players over labour unrest with the Players Association while this very lockout has one strong condition on all the league players and their respective teams to not to trade during lockout. The league
owners and the Players Union are still showing no progress to resolve this issue. However, until this lockout ends in the league, Grant Hill will still stay connected to the Phoenix Suns. Hill last played for the Suns in 2011 where his performance remained
consistent.
Although, the Suns management is still showing great interest to keep Grant Hill into their roster, but he wants to explore his options with another potential team in the league. He is certainly a very good player who always performed
at his best level. Hill can move his talents to some other teams in the league where he can best fit. The Miami Heat, including, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls and the Oklahoma City Thunder are the potential teams where Grant Hill can land
and play further with full thrust.
Boston Celtics:
The Boston Celtics would most likely to pursue Grant Hill for their next future seasons. Their current roster is aging and inclusion of Hill will work as backup for their experience players during the games. The trio of Celtics
are no doubt carrying their team with great energy but they also need some helping hand from another experience player. The Celtics trio of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett have worked hard for several years now while it’s high time for Hill to make
a welcome arrival into the Boston Celtics and show his tremendous basketball abilities for this title contender team.
Hill has a vast experience in the league. He can certainly contribute to the Celtics in numerous ways. He is quick and his tremendous scoring abilities are also well known. Those who have watched Hill becoming a star in the NBA
recognized his superfluous skills. From his amateur level to professional career, he remained consistent with his performance. He was very talented player when he entered into the college. He played his early game at the Duke University and learned the early
basketball skills. He played with the Duke Blue Devils for four years and proved his valour.
After playing four successful years at Duke, Hill made himself available for the 1994 NBA draft. The NBA scouts were already after him and told their respective teams about Grant Hill’s capabilities. The first team who showed great
confidence on Hill was Detroit Pistons. The Pistons drafted him 3rd overall in the first round of NBA draft. He has played for three different teams in the league and won several awards in his career so far. He was named the NBA Rookie of the year
in 1995 and selected seven times for the NBA All Star game.
