Rajon Rondo pulled out 10 out of 18 assists in the first half of the game. They had more than the complete Utah team that they assembled in the first 24 minutes of the game.
Turning point
Deron Williams committed his second foul of the game with just 3:42 minutes in the start of the first quarter. The Celtics bombarded with a 16-3 run after the guard was replaced by Watson making Utah stumble badly. This initiated a double-digit lead for
Boston over the losing team and they never relinquished the rest of the way.
Hottest player
Pierce led all the players and stood out as the hottest player. Pierce has now become habitual of leading at his home games. The player acquired 13 of the winning team’s 30 points in the opening. He was the one who helped his team build an 11-point lead
over the rivals in the beginning.
Weakest pawn
It seems like the new Jazz uniform did not quite suit the newly traded former Boston power forward Jefferson. The player made a stumbling debut at his former home ground. The player missed 10 of his 11 shots in a very weak defence against the Celtics.
