Boston was shooting at a rate of 63 percent in the starting 24 minutes of the game but even with that rate they were leading just by seven points at halftime.
Lawson and Smith paired up to dish out 25 points in the first half of the game for the Nuggets.
Boston never let the Nuggets take the lead. The Nuggets did try to get back into the game as they tried to pull away in the second quarter but at that very moment Celtics reserves Davis and Robinson leaped in and bombarded the Nuggets down with eight consecutive
points.

Hot player
Allen was on a rampage. He made his 12 points in the very beginning as he hit four of his first six shots that included three from downtown as well. This fired up a double digit lead for the Celtics in the very first three minutes after the opening.
Not so hot
Billups had one of the worst nights as he scored his worst score of the year. He could only score five points and missed both free throw attempts that he was given. His performance has been a career low 35.8 percent from the field in 21 games.
