  1. NO BECAUSE IF U WERE THE COACH OF THE SOX WOULDN'T  U WANT  MANNY TO BREAK ANOTHER HOMERUN RECORD IN BOSTON?

  2. Boston holds club options on Manny for $20 million per season for each of the next 2 seasons.  This is a bargain for the production they get out of him.

Matt Holliday has a career batting average at Coors Field of .365, 90 points higher than his road career batting average of .277.  His slugging percentage at Coors is .664, over 200 points higher than his road slg % of .449.  He is clearly a product of playing a Coors Field, so the Red Sox would have NO interest in trading away a first-ballot Hall of Famer for him.

This suggestion probably came from someone who spends waaaay too much time playing fantasty baseball, but knows nothing about the game itself.

  3. No I wouldn't do it.  That would be a stupid move on our part.  Holiday didn't even play well in the WS.

I want Manny to stay here in Boston.

  4. Yes. I am and avid Red Sox fan. I'm sick of Manny's stunts. "Manny being Manny." Matt Holiday SEEMS committed to helping his team win games.

  5. NO at all Matt Holiday is a jerk He would hate it in Boston.

  6. manny is far better than holiday, manny's better during the play off's proof was last ws, look @ his stats. then there's the manny factor, i'd rather have manny in my dugout,........

  7. The deal would probably never happen, it's so one-sided.  Manny is, of course, one of the greatest hitters of the last 15-20 years.  But Holliday's a better fielder, baserunner, (and these days) power and average hitter.  He's younger and cheaper.  I'd expect Holliday to end up next year somewhere in the AL Central.  He'd be a great fit for the Twins or the Indians.  And Manny could stay w/ the Sox for another year or two, but will probably go the aging veteran route and DH under single-season contracts for other moneyed playoff contenders.  Uh, so yeah, I would do that deal, in a heartbeat.

  8. No just think of last year what did Matt Holiday do in the World Series at Boston, HE DID NOTHING.  So me i say No

Its all about Manny Being Manny

  9. In a FLASH.

The thing is, Colorado wants o get young guys or keep Holliday as their franchise guy, so they don't gain anything in this trade.

Manny's contract is much larger and Manny is older. Hence bad deal for Rockies.

  10. not ever
