Boston Logan airport to Newport, RI - what is the best public transport option ?

You could take the silver line into South Station and take the commuter rail to Providence, but ... the quickest easiest way is to take a Greyhound/Peter Pan bus from the airport. It's a bit of a trip (maybe 1.5 - 2 hours), but that's the best way to do it.

driving is probably the easiest but if you can't rent a car i would go with taking a bus. You could get a taxi but that would be super expensive with gas price. Take the good 'ol Peter Pan Bus line. its pretty cheap and not as bad as one might think.
