Boston Red Sox hoping to work out methods to beat New York Yankees and Texas Rangers – MLB Update
Boston Red Sox are looking to the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees these days. The reason where there were so many Rangers and Yankees in the American League 36 man roster is both these teams have looked in outstanding form since the start of the season.
Yankees are leading the American League Central Division with an imposing 52-33 record. Texas Rangers, on the other hand, also have a very similar record and they are leaders of the American League West. One out every three members of American League All
Star team was either from Texas or New York.
Other teams in Major League Baseball, including the Red Sox, are just chasing the Yankees and the Rangers. While the Rangers and Yankees have already a foot into the playoffs, Bobby Valentine and company will be looking to work extremely hard to bring some
consistency in their game. Above all, they will be hoping to work out a method to overcome these two giants of American Baseball.
“Up to this point I would grade everyone exceptionally, but at the same time they don’t hand out any prizes for great first halves,” Yankees’ center-fielder Curtis Granderson said. “The fact that we’ve able to play good baseball pretty consistently has been
key. We just need to stay healthy. Everybody’s had a role, we haven’t been blowing teams out. I still feel like we have a lot left.”
“No question we’ve been as good as anybody, record-wise, but then again we have to think about how to get better,” Captain Derek Jeter said.
If not during the regular season, the Red Sox are certain to face one of these two teams in the playoffs, if they happen to make it to the post season.
With ace C.C. Sabathia and veteran starting pitcher Andy Pettitte also looking to return from the disabled list, the Yankees are only going to get better. Alexi Ogando, Colby Lewis and Koji Uehara will also add to the already strong Rangers’ pitching lineup.
It will be a test of nerves, character and determination for the Red Sox and it will be interesting to see if they can reach the World Series title this year.
