Boston Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine feels slightly worried over his team’s performance
The Boston Red Sox are unexpectedly performing badly in the second half of the season. They are losing consistently and not showing any fighting spirit even against the low profile teams.
This current situation and persistent poor performances, giving a lot of frustration to team skipper Bobby Valentine.
Valentine is considered one of the most intelligent managers in the Major League and possesses some huge managerial experience.
He was the very first man in the Red Sox’s management in the past off-season to predict the Red Sox as World Series winners in 2012.
Though it was quite early, but still many believed that Valentine has some logical factor in his view point.
In the recent past off-season, the Red Sox brought a new offensive strategy in the team which was also appreciated by many within the team as well as outside Red Sox’s experts.
But as soon as 2012 Spring Training and later the Major League season started, the Red Sox’s new strategy did not work out according to the desired plan and the team started to lose with great pace.
Now the Red Sox are waiting for transfer window to open to add some fire power in the roster.
“What do you think we talked about? Art? Liverpool? We talked about baseball and our team, obviously. Things that he’s concerned about, and things that I deal with.” said Valentine,
The Red Sox principal owner John Henry and general manager Ben Cherington are also feeling the heat now. They know that Bobby Valentine is working hard in the franchise but overall the way the team is playing and the way their past signings have performed in this ongoing season is quite disturbing for all.
Cherington said. “We made a big deal because we felt it would give us the best chance to build the next really good team,” “But we’re in the painful part of the process where things aren’t going well right now. I don’t know what it’s going to translate into wins and losses.”
While that is also one of the main reasons that the Red Sox management is still looking to add some more fire power in the roster.
