Boston Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford confident going into fresh season – MLB News
The Boston Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford showing some great optimism ahead of next Major League Baseball season as he is training hard in this year’s Spring Training camps in Arizona. His hitting coach Dave Magadan is also happy on Crawford’s level of commitment that he has shown.
Crawford, who came last season in the Red Sox roster, has showed a pretty good performance achieving batting average of .255 along with 11 home-runs, 56 RBIs and .289 OBP, is once again aiming high for another spirited display of his extraordinary slugging skills next season.
On reporting to the camp Tuesday, Crawford told the media with quite detail about his game and how well he is preparing for the next season. He also described his fitness level and how it will play a positive role for is game and also for his team as well.
Crawford said, “Last year, I just got all discombobulated. We pretty much had to start all over. I had to get my base better so I wasn’t so wide. He saw some areas I can improve in.”
He added, “We just kind of went over everything and did what we had to do. I’m going to have to stay on top of it a little more. I don’t know exactly when it will be all the way healthy, but right now, it definitely feels better. It was (replayed) over and over; I had that bad cringe in my body every time I saw it.”
Having played nine years in the MLB with great commitment, Crawford knows his game pretty well. He is considered one of those players who never stops taking chances towards making their own game perfect.
Last season, he performed certainly with big energy however, this coming season will be a tough one for him and for any MLB player. The Red Sox entire roster is also ready to go with full thrust and win this year’s World Series Title and put behind last season’s poor display where they lost too many games from average opponents.
