The Boston Red Sox pitcher Daniel Bard is preparing for a potential start on Friday against the Chicago White Sox to begin a four-match regular series encounter.
Played so far in the Major League Baseball season as reliever with an exceptional 4.38 ERA along with 1-2 win loss record, 13 strikeouts and 1.70 WHIP, Bard is also optimistic here to start a great season for his own game as a potential starting pitcher.
Bard said with confidence, "That's the same thing I've done for the last few years," I was in jams my last start too, and worked out of those, It's really not all that different, just a lot of pressure when you haven't thrown any pitches when you get into
[jams]. Willingham's a righty.”
He added explaining some facts of converting positions, “With a lefty on deck (Morneau) I was really trying to strike him out. I almost struck him out with the 2-and-2 pitch. The 3-and-2 was a really good pitch, but he was sitting on a slider. He did a good
job to get the barrel on it."
On Monday, Bard shut down the Minnesota Twins in eighth innings giving his team a 6- 5 delicate victory. The White Sox came into this three-game series with an early loss from the New York Yankees and Texas Rangers and now wants some winning combination
from changing positions.
The Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine is currently most anxious to play his reliever with full thrust as a starter from next game onwards. The Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington has lately given Valentine a free hand to manoeuvre players if he wanted them
to play according to the situation.
