The Boston Marathon is the oldest Marathon in the country i believe . It is held as the pinnacle of  marathons in this country. Often times runners will prepare for years to qualify for this race only to fall a few minutes short of making it. There are marathons of varying difficulty so to qualify for this one pick an easy one  so youll have the best chance.

The Boston Marathon is one of only three marathons in the world that runners must qualify before running the race.  The race is held each April on Patriot's Day - the third Monday of the month.  The 26.2 mile race begins outside Boston in Hopkington and finishes near the Boston Common.  It is a hilly course and the weather varies so much from year to year.  I love it.
