EDIT: I was surprised that Jason Krog was never called up this season! He won the Triple Crown and was the AHL MVP for the season and the playoffs!

  1. I was thinking about going, but I decided to watch the Cubs.

  2. Give them a hand for oganizational depth.  However, as a B-Sens fan, I am not heart broken they lost.

  3. First off the baby Pen's did not impress me much this year I saw them play 2 times this year at the War Memorial and they only put up one goal. There defense was there strong point, but once you put 3 goals on them they were a different team. I also think the Wolves got an easy Western Conference finals mach up with Toronto. The better team did not win the North Finals. The Marlies just got a couple of lucky goals, and don't get me started on the playoff seclude for games 3-6 that was plain stupid. The Crunch would have given the Wolves a much better series. But I Congratulate the Wolves for keeping the cup in the West and can't wait for next season.

  4. definitely the two best ahl teams, as WB was a good match for the wolves.

**** krog, he is a lifetime AHLer. so is haydar, martin, sterling and a few others, which is why they win a lot. they have older seasoned guys all the time.

watch for pavelic in the NHL soon.

  5. As a Chicagoan I am happy for the Wolves but man I really wanted Rockford in there. Chicago and Rockford had a great series too earlier in the playoffs and was a good matchup especially since they are Illinois rivals and about an hour from each other. Anyway congrats Wolves to a great season. Not sad for the baby pens... to get where they did they have lots to be proud of.

  6. YES! I was at the game last night it was SOOO awesome!

I say thank god the wolves won it this year, cuz odds are krog and haydar will look for different teams since the thrashers are too stupid to move them up, sterling and pavelec are definitly moving up, coach anderson is bound to get an NHL coaching job, heck even our GM is bound to get an NHL job.

But hey, let's CELEBRATE while we can! WOLVES WIN!

  7. yeah, i was surprised scranton lost in the AHL finals, i thought for sure they would win after pit lost, but i guess not.  Bad news for the pit organization, got so close in both leagues, but they will be back.  Maybe some of those AHL'ers can fill in for the multiple UFA's pit is going to lose this offseason.

  8. That just proved that the Penguins (both) are losers! =D

  9. haha penguins suck

    Go Chicago!!!!!

edit-jason krog sucks . he wins the ahl triple crown every year.

  10. go wolves! they arn't my favorite ahl team, Rockford is, but they are a chicago team! woo! go chicago!

  11. It is pretty interesting, too bad the Thrashers couldn't learn a thing or two about winning from the Wolves.

  12. congrats for the wolves

maybe next year for the penguins no way

    Go WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. I'm happier that the Penguins lost rather than that the Wolves won.

    Great game, though.

  14. YES!!

    haha..JASON KROG IS THE MAN!

  15. Yeah and both lost in 6, pretty annoying as a Pens fan lol. Seriously though I say congrats to the Chicago Wolves. Can always brag that both levels of the Organization made it to the finals though, how often has that happened.

  16. The Wolves kept hockey alive in Chicago while we went through that "dark period" with the Blackhawks.  I've been a Wolves fan since they were created back in the good old IHL days and the Wolves were always fun to watch (and cheaper than going to a Blackhawks game).

Too bad more people were not at the Rosemount (What's an Allstate Arena?) today.  Ah well, hopefully with the reemergence of the Blackhawks, the Wolves will benefit now from the increased interest in hockey and more people will check out our AHL team.

Anyways, It is nice to see we have a team with a great winning tradition in our Wolves.  Can't wait until next year when we hopefully have two Hockey Champions in Chicago.

    Go Wolves!

    Go Blackhawks!

  17. Well, i at least wanted the baby pens to win... such a shame..

  18. I'll admit I'm not an expert with the teams u are talking about but since u are happy i congratulate you & your team for winning the Championship.

  19. Good for the Wolves.  But more importantly, did the Calder Cup leave the ice in one piece.
