Calculate te mass of 0.500 mol of calcium carbonate.

I need to answer this question for chemistry and I'm not exactly sure how to do this.

I'm doing it as a booklet course so I don't have the assistance of a teacher either.

So if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated =)

  1. when you add up the atomic masses in CaCO3, you find that the Molar mass of CaCO3 is 100.087 g/mole

    so ? grams in 0.500 moles CaCO3 @ 100.087 g/ mol = 50.044 grams

your answer is: 50.0 grams (3 sig figs)
