Question:

Both of my kittens dont cover up there p**p and track it through the house along with it being all but runny?

my male kitten i got when he was about 8 weeks and he was fine...normal looking p**p covered it up and everything then when he was about 12 weeks i got another 8 week female kitten...since then neither of them cover up there p**p (she never did) and now both of them have this nasty mostly orange running looking p**p...i have tried a more top shelf brand of food and its still the same...they both love to not cover it...step on it..and the track it all over the house.....my gf and i are really sick of checking them everytime they p**p (which is ALOT) and rinsing off their paws...its getting to the point where its time for the problem to be fixed or they go...ne help....we have a fairly large (for them neway) closed catbox...we tried an open one but had no improvements

It sounds like they have coccidia - it's contagious by use of a shared litter box.  Time to take a stool sample to the vet, and ask them to test for it.  It's easy to treat, but needs an antibiotic from the vet called Albon.  It's not something you can get at Wal-mart, and it's not going to be cured by worming preparations, and it won't go away on it's own.

  4. Time and patience are what it will take. You may have to show him a few times by gently guiding his paw and showing him how to scrape the litter over his p**p. He'll eventually get the idea.

    You mentioned that your two kittens share the same litter box. The rule of thumb is one box per cat and one extra, so that would mean three boxes for your two siblings. I'd also advise ditching the clay litter. Kittens tend to eat the stuff, or ingest it while cleaning, and it can cause serious bowel problems.
