  1. i think your kids wold be Mexican American because They were born in America.... but you shouldn't let them forget were they came from.. let them learn Spanish and the Mexican customs.

  2. They are Mexican American If they are still under 18 years of age call the Mexican Embassy and you can sign paperwork, giving them dual Citizenship, All it required that one parent be born in Mexico.

  3. Yes you can be Mexican and American. 10 years ago the laws changed in Mexico and you can have both nationalities. My brother in law is Spanish and Mexican.

My sister in law is American and Mexican.

Since you were born to Mexican parents you can carry out the paper work at the Mexican Embassy.

By the way answer number one is plain stupid, pay no attention.

  4. Your kids will be American citizens of Mexican heritage.   Just like I am an American citizen of irish heritage.

  5. they will be chicanos

  6. What's wrong with "chicanos"?  I thought that was the preferred term for American-born people of Mexican heritage.

  7. ok, are you describing your wife as "born in mexico?"  if she was, then she's mexican, if she wasn't, then she's "hispanic american."  mexican is a nationality, not a race.

your kids are going to be hispanic americans....because they are hispanic, and they were born in the US.

my boyfriend is mexican (born and living in mexico) and i am american, white.  our kids could be called "mexican american" but that's because they will be raised on both places and be bicultural.  so...they are indeed nationally mexican and american.  but if you and your wife live in the US, and don't plan on living in mexico or adopting that culture (not heritage...culture.  schedule, all that stuff) then your kids are hardly mexican...they are hispanic.

  8. If you were born in the U.S. then you are an American citizen.  So you are Mexican-American.  as will your children.  They will be American citizens with Mexican heritage.  The American part just means they're citizens.
