  1. I use the avent microwave sterilyser.  It's awesome!  Depending on the strength of your microwave, it can take as little as 2 minutes to do.  I put in bottles, teats, dummies and breast pump.  You can use it on brand new bottles.  We use all avent products - because i use a avent isis breast pump and the bottles fit on the pump for easy storage

  2. I used the Avent steam sterilizer. It's very convienent and easy to use, and I didn't even use avent bottles. I stopped using it because of the BPA it contained and just stuck to boiling for a while. My baby is 8 months now and I just run them throught the dishwasher.

  3. Honestly, in doing research while I was pregnant, I discovered an interesting fact. No matter what kind of sterilizer you use, they really only sterilize if the entire bottle is submerged in boiling water for 10 minutes. We went to the dollar store and bought a huge pan for 6 dollars, and we'd boil her bottles in there after washing and rinsing them in the sink. We used tongs and the bottle drying rack from munchkin to let them dry, and my daughter never came down with thrush or any of the other things they can catch from unsterilized bottles. We boiled everything, the pacifier's, all parts of the bottle, even the vents(we used ventaire bottles).  But it is recommended that you boil your new bottles for at least 15 minutes.

    Good luck!

  4. I bought a really nice one, brought it home and washed it up than realized it was too big for my microwave.  I just wash the bottles really good then boil them.  It's just as easy.

  5. I use a target brand one that was quite cheap and it is fine. It takes all sort of bottles but has actaul spot for just the normal cheap thin necked ones.

One of the most used things I have bought and I breast feed. (sometimes pump so use the steriliser for that)

For new bottle just wash them first in hot soapy water then you can sterilise in the microwave. The microwave steriliser does the same as boiling. Yes you can put in pacifier and anything that can be sterilised as long as it doesn't contain metal... I put in bottles, pacis, my breastpump bits, the plastic nipple tongs, avent breast milk storage containers...

  6. I had the Dr Brown's one and used it frequently without any trouble. It is however designed especially for Dr. Brown bottles and their venting system but they are awesome bottles.

  7. I used one. I used the Avent microwave sterilizer. I really like it.
