Bottled water?

Now the Mayor has called for boycott of bottled water should filling stations be provided around the city, me I am not a Londoner but have to go up there quite often, dont want to be dragging litre bottles of tap water around with me

Tap water is better quality, cheaper, has a smaller ecological footprint and when managed right is in abundance in this country - get a grip and utilize it.

I am an environmentalist, I buy bottled water, but from local sources, guaranteed that I will not have to filter it, my tap water is not good, and only a few miles away they are about to add fluoride, I  do not want this in my water, let alone the other extras that are prevalent in tap water. Love dear old Ken, but he should be more aware of the by-products in our tap water!

    British supplies of mineral water only, and returnable bottles only! If you read this Ken, think about it! These are the changes needed, unless we get a guaranteed healthy tap supply!

There are taps everywhere in London.  Take your bottle with you and find a place to fill it up.

Being in Scotland I rarely drink bottled water (great tap quality here).

Though I did see an interesting thing in Thailand - vending machines that issue water (wasnt sure if it was mineral or tap), for 1baht, and you fill up a bottle you bring yourself.

People currently have a choice 'free' tap water or bottled water at 50pence to £1 per bottle.

If people for whatever reason want to pay the market price and buy bottled then it should be up to them

Personally I drink tap at home but if I am out an about I don't usually carry water with me and if I get thirsty I will buy a bottle of water

So why can't you save one of your empty half litre bottles of vastly over priced mineral water and fill that up from the tap? Or is that too complicated for you?
