Bottom Right Light Is Flashing Red, Am I Gonna Get The Red Ring of Death?

ok the bottom right light is flashing red and it says "E74 system error. contact xbox customer support" in many languages. Is there any way that I can fix it? I already tried this

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941377/

My other question is, will this lead to the red ring of death? because if it does I'd rather just wait to get that and get a free repair than to pay money right now.

  1. if yo uget red ring youll jsut get it

thats a differnt code it doesnt have anythign to do with red ring, just to shwo you try turning on your xbox without the A/V cord in and itll shwo you another red error sign

  3. It will lead to the 3RROD.

MS have extended the warranty for a 3 red ring error so you could call them and say 'sometimes it shows 3 red lights, other times it has E74 on screen'' then they'll fix it for you.... or just leave it on til it gets hot and goes to 3 red rings and call MS.

If it's out of warranty/been opened then I sell x-clamp fix kits on ebay.co.uk for £4 + p&p which should sort the issue. Thousands of people have fixed their Xbox 360s with my kit. It's simply a replacement for the x-clamps with the right sized bolts, washers and a sachet of thermal paste to replace the awful MS thermal pads + my repair guide is v good with lots of pics and is really easy to follow.

Just look up XBOX_EXPERT on the Community page of ebay.co.uk

  4. It's dying.... not dead... It's a 50/50 chance you'll get 3RL'd. Get ready for the it though.

Stop playing your system, have it sideways, unplug everything and let if relax for a few days. Try to keep gaming to an hour should you be active for a few days. I know it sucks.... But again, It's a c**p shoot of you'll survive. Oh and Get a replacement system if you can.

  5. My 360 once had the same problem, but it went away after I unplugged everything and plugged it back in.  However sometime later I got the red ring of death.  I don't know if that means your 360 will follow the same path though.

  6. My Xbox got the EXACT same thing.  You can try replugging all the wires, but that probably won't work waiting for it to fix itself probably won't either.  I had to call Microsoft to get it fixed.  Don't worry it will be free, but it will take like three weeks from the time you send it in.  A month from the time you call it in.  You might even get a brand new xbox like I did.
