Bottom braces?

ive had my top braces for like 3 months and im getting my bottoms in 3 days do u think when i get my bottoms they will changed my wire on top and make it thicker then keep the one on bottom wire thin. i havent had my top braces wire changed yet its still the first wire and its reallyy thin.

  1. They may do that. If and when they do it'll hurt a little. Prepare yourself. Don't cry like I did


  2. it depends, i get my brace wire changed every 3 months or so, if you have an overbite or an underbite

  3. The thickness of your upper wire isn't going to change just because they put braces on your lower teeth. They may change the top wire, but it has nothing to do with whether or not you have lower braces.

    They will most likely put a very thin wire on your bottom teeth, just like they did on the top teeth. The wire will get progressively thicker as your teeth move and get closer to their final resting place (and you get more used to the tension). Everyone's teeth move differently, so you cannot predict when they will make your wire thicker based on other peoples experiences.
