I like to say I know all the health benefits of honey and so I ofcourse also know the warning given about not giving honey to babies under the age of 1 year because of boulism. So how about a couple of drops of apple cider vinegat mixed into half a teaspoon of raw honey which then mixed into four ounce of babys formula? Still not a good idea??????? And don't freak out ok I'm just so wondering

  1. No. Whatever "health benefits" you are after, there are safer ways to obtain. It isn't worth the risk.

Your baby will tolerate the vinegar just fine without the sweetener, if you want to give it to her. If you are after a natural source of minerals, brew some nettles tea instead. Use 1 teaspoon of dried nettles per cup of boiling water. Cover and let steep 5 minutes. Strain the herb out using coffee filter or cloth. Add a couple of teaspoons of this infusion to baby's water or juice, with the vinegar, no more than once a day. (Keep remainder refrigerated up to 2 days, or drink it yourself.) If it loosens the stool too much, reduce to one teaspoon.

Nettles tea is available at most health food stores. If you can't find it in bulk, look for it in boxes of tea bags by Alvita.

  2. No, no and no.

ACV has no health benefits and it certainly won't correct the problem of possible botulism contamination.  And bee pollen will not be of help either.  Don't be foolish and quit messing with the baby's formula.
