Courted by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127, Algerian international Ryad Boudebouz prefers a move to Stade Velodrome and could sign for them this summer
“It is undeniable that it is an honor to be asked by a club like Lyon, one of the best in Ligue 1 in recent years and player in European competitions,” said http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryad-Boudebouz-c31970 a few weeks ago.
The young Sochaux star has earned a lot of praise from Olympique Lyonnais president Jean-Michel Aulas who would like to have the pair: Boudebouz and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marvin-Martin-c24496.
The 22-year-old is being considered as the successor to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775. Though Boudebouz is honoured to be so highly thought of in Lyon, the youngster might not prefer a move to the Stade de Gerland.
Reports claim that the young Algerian is more inclined to a move to Olympique de Marseille, a club he has supported since boyhood.
The 2010 champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mathieu-Valbuena-c24690 and Andre Ayew leave the Velodrome when the current campaign ends and the arrival of young players could be seen as a nice alternative.
Furthermore, Sochaux are also giving preference to OM because Boudebouz is a Marseille fan and is also attracted by the idea of staying close to his family who are settled in Marseille.
However, several obstacles do make things complicated.
First of all, is the financial aspect. Although the youngster’s release clause is for just 6 million Euros, the amount may be substantial for a club that is likely to be deprived of the financial windfall that it gets through European qualification.
Although sales of a few big names could change things, Marseille might find it difficult to compete with clubs who can offer the Algerian a chance to play European football.
Aujourd’h*i en France claims that Jose Anigo might also play a crucial role in the transfer. The sporting director invited the youngster to the Velodrome to watch Marseille play Bayern Munich. However, Didier Deschamps’ might not consider signing the player
his priority.
However, this might not be a long-lasting obstacle as Deschamps might leave the club by the end of the campaign.
