Bouggatti looking strong to win Ladbrokes.com Amateur Riders´ Handicap
Bouggatti is looking in a very good position to claim the Ladbrokes.com Amateur Riders´ Handicap at Folkestone in England on Thursday, August 23, 2012. He has not raced at this venue before, thus it will be a challenge for him to outshine his opponents today.
The spectators will be eagerly looking forward to the class-5 event, as the weather has been extremely good at Folkestone. Due to this, the ground will be good to firm and all the participants will be pleased with the conditions.
Not many runners seem to be in a position to cause any problems for Bouggatti, who has been given a general starting price of 6 to 4 by the bookmakers. He will definitely get the attention of the punters, who do not have a lot of options today.
The four-year-old gelding debuted in August 2010 and was unable to make an impression in his first three outings. He lacked the speed to challenge his rivals back then and things were not heading in the right direction for him.
However, the end to his debut season was a decent one, as he secured a couple of back-to-back runner up positions that year. He finally managed to display his true potential and his team would have been pleased with what he had achieved.
The start to the 2011 season for the Lady Herries’ trainee proved to be a very good one, as he brought up his maiden victory in his very first outing that year. He was unable to repeat such a show during that year, but kept on challenging his opponents for
top positions regularly.
This year, Tobougg’s son has only appeared in three races until now and his performances in them have been pretty much decent. He was unable to deliver in the first race and had to settle for sixth place in the end, but improved his performance afterwards.
Bouggatti was victorious in his penultimate race, despite the fact that he was not rated as the favourite to win. He ran really well and took the top spot by one length. His speed was impressive last time around as well, as he finished third out of 15 runners.
Things are really looking good for him. His partner will be Mr S. Walker, who has never accompanied him in the past.
