Bought Book Online. Was sent wrong book. Returned, and got full refund. But not my shipping. How can I sue?

Hi There,

I bought a book online, but they sent me the wrong book. I let them know, and they said they would refund the money once I ship it to them.

I shipped it to them, which cost me ~$ 22. I have the receipt. I asked them to give me that money as well, but they ignored my request. I have asked them three times and they keep ignoring my request with no reply.

How can I sue them? I live in Canada and the book seller is in USA. I have no idea how to proceed or where to go? Police station? court? No idea!

I purchased with credit card, by the way.

Any tips appreciated.

Thank you!

  1. Find a lawyer... that's what they do...

  2. why bother its just 22 dollars and a lawyer is way more expensive!

  3. read the tos of the book seller's site.

then hire a lawyer if you want in the jurisdiction of the bookseller.

go ahead, spend money in the order of 1000s of dollars tro have a chance at getting back 22.

  4. When you purchase something online or by mail you may return it for a return but you usually are not reimbursed for the shipping and handling.
