Bought Moped online and no title

Question

I bought a Moped online (Craigslist) local and Iam having a problem getting the Title. The person I bought it from was the local contact cause his brother was out of town and they were selling the house. I've goneby but to no avail.So I have the moped and i have called the Texas DMV and they have no answers just attitude for me.Is there a form someone can give me the name off for a lost title.I Live in Poteet and work is San Antonio,Tx Please assist with best info,Veg answers I've heard now need accuracy.THANKS

The only person that you can get a title from is the owner.

What other paperworkwork did you get for this transaction?

Did you get a bill of sale?

Did you get the regstration?

Do you know who the owner is?
