i bought the vehicle on June 20. I have not made my first payment yet. im skeptical about this. I bought it with 75,000 miles. They gave a warranty on the CRV up to 175, 000 miles. Can i make a case to dealer to give me something else? Or depends on dealer policy? Still have to get it looked at today. Worried now!

  1. It depends upon the nature of the warranty.  Some of the warranties can be a little goosey (they'll throw in the part...you pay the labor...labor is 90% of the bill anyway)  Do ask the dealer to check on it.  It may be nothing.

75,000 miles is still light use on a Honda.

  2. to answer your question no you cant take it back you can try to make a case to the dealer tr help but they do not have to do anything unless he gave you a written warranty if he did and this is just a maintenance required thing instead of a breakdown it probably wont be covered

  3. That's about the right age for the emissions light to come on.

Modern cars come with nanny lights that nag you to do regular maintenance, like take the vehicle in for emissions equipment maintenance and whatnot.  You'll probably see those lights again at the 150,000mile mark, too.

It's also a good idea to have the timing belt changed now, assuming it hasn't already been done.  Most cars with belts are scheduled for changes at about 60,000miles and if yours hasn't been done, it's overdue.  You DON'T want that belt to break while the engine is running.  That's a really, really expensive repair.
