Bought a MO from bank, mail it to company. Co never recieved, but MO was cashed not by Co. What do I do now? ?

I went to the bank to buy a money order then I mailed it right before the 4th of July. We gave it extra time because of the holiday. The company I sent the money order to still says they have not received it. Call the bank to see if they could stop payment and re issue but they had informed me the money order was cashed but they are not sure by who.Called the bank today and they are going to find out where and by who the money order was cashed by.What do I do if someone stolen it and cashed it.

Sorry, but you are probably out the $$.  Paying by money order really doesnt provide any more protection than paying by check.

I only pay with credit cards when purchasing online or from a catalog.  That way you are always protected against any type of fraud.  I hope it wasnt a lot of money.
