I just bought a Sigma 10-20mm EX of Amazon, with a 4 year warranty, plus a 5 year extended warranty. But my warranty card is from Sigma Corportation JAPAN! the extended warranty was from some pleace called "Repair Tech" online. Is this a grey market product???? How can i find out? Can i contact Sigma and find out? What should I do about this, what if my lens breaks, am i **** out of luck?

  1. most likely it's a gray market product.  however, don't be too worry about it, cause a lens normally last a lot more than 5 years (unless u accidentially drop it to the floor, but that warranty wouldn't cover that anyway).  so,  just keep using it as normal.

click the following link, and read Q2.  as it said, u can always contact Sigma to validate your warranty.

    good luck :)
