  1. First off, how did you pay for it?

If you paid for it through paypal or any other means via credit/debit card then you may want to dispute the charge on your account.

Depending on the cost of the item, ebay may help pursue and you'll have to go back and CAREFULLY read the product description.  Make sure it is guaranteed not to be DOA (dead on arrival).  If the description said sold as is, well, you are out of luck.

Can you provide a link to the ebay item?

  2. go into your paypal account and clikcon refund, then explain the item was broken ( doesnt work ) and they wil have to give your money back

  3. First contact the seller who sold it to you, tell them the issue and ask for a full refund (postage as well - some will try and only refund you the cost without postage) If they refuse or don't get back to you, report them through ebay or through paypl if you used paypal to pay for the item. Paypal like to take there time but will refund you any costs occured. You may have to send the item back before you'll get a refund soif you do make sure you send it back recorded. The seller may claim you never sent the item back if you cant prove you did. It a vicious circle so stick to your guns!

  4. You get more done if you go thru pay-pal and not ebay. File a claim with pay-pal. Also check the ebay auction to make sure it did not say as-is or something along them lines.

  5. Depends if they have a returns policy or not - if it is an Ebay Powerseller they may have a returns policy.

Did you pay by Paypal - if you did - check to see if they had Paypal protection in place - Should be a box under their details on right side of page. If they do have it - start a claim using Paypal - quite easy to do and they usually side on the buyers side.

If they have none of that - then it is 'Buyer Beware' - you may have lost the dosh - but make sure you leave really bad feedback to warn others.

By the way - I have a good CD player - Ministry Of Sound one for sale - and it works nicely :)

  6. Disputes for Non Receipt and Significantly Not As Described items must be filed within 45 days of the initial payment.

To file a dispute for a transaction sent through PayPal please follow these steps:

Log into your account at https://www.paypal.com/.

Click "Resolution Center" at the top of your Account Overview page.

You will have the option of:

Clicking the "Dispute a Transaction" button, or

Clicking the "Report a Problem" tab and then clicking the "Report a Problem" button.

Select "Item dispute" and click "Continue."

Click the "Find transaction ID" button to display your history.

Change the dates in the drop-down to find the transaction and click "Search."

    Click the transaction ID.

Click "Continue" and follow the instructions.

Please do not mail or email your dispute, as it causes unnecessary delays.

Any time within 20 days of the date the dispute was opened, it can be escalated to a claim with PayPal. Otherwise, it will automatically be closed after 20 days have passed. If the dispute is escalated to a claim, PayPal will investigate your claim and make the final decision. Recovery of the full transaction amount is not guaranteed. PayPal will seek to resolve your complaint within 30 days from the date your complaint is filed, however, more time may be needed.

To escalate your dispute to a PayPal claim, please follow the steps below:

Log in to your PayPal account at https://www.paypal.com/.

Click "Resolution Center" at the top of your Account Overview page.

Select "Open Cases" in the drop-down menu and select the dispute you wish to escalate.

Click "View" under the Action column.

In the "Close or Escalate" box, select the button that will escalate the dispute to a claim.

    Click "Continue."

Complete the "End Communication and Escalate to a Claim with PayPal" form.

    Click "Escalate to a Claim."

Learn how the dispute process works; review the step-by-step tutorial in the"Resolution Center."

    I hope this helps!
