Bought a land phone from america but different plug?

can i change the plug to a uk plug although it is a sealed unit?

Not only is the plug different, but it uses a different voltage.  Since you'll need a voltage converter, you can probably get a plug adapter with it.

Yes, or you can use an adaptor (the type used for modems).  However, if it doesn't have the BABT seal of approval, it's illegal to plug it into a BT socket.

I bought one off ebay and it wouldnt fit my phone socket, you can get an adapter for it.
