I do not know much about cars. But I know to get the A/C replaced buy a pro will cost more then the actual car cost me. SO if anyone could tell me what parts I need to buy used. I also know it is not advised to use used A/C parts. But if I want it done I need to use the used parts. I will probably buy all the parts, and have a professional install them. PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks in advance

  1. condenser, evaparator, compresser, belt, belt tensioner assembly, tx valve, reciever dryer, switches, pipes.

my advice would be to buy a car with aircon fitted.

  2. Depends what parts they removed.  Did they just take off the belt or did they remove the entire compressor?  Getting A/C installed can cost over $1,000 if they need put in the entire system and I wouldn't put that much money into a 95 Civic.

The Civic DX didn't even come with A/C if thats the model you have.

  3. It all depends on what was removed ( as pointed out by the first post ).  Also, keep in mind that an a/c system is supposed to be sealed.  If it was opened up and parts were removed ( like the compressor or condenser for example ), expect the lines and seals to be dry and/or rotted out.  If this is the case, they will not hold the refrigerant and will have to be replaced as well.
