Bought new set of irons???

Question

my hubby bought a new set of Cleveland cg4 irons 4 days ago, and used them once in the driving range, played 9 holes of golf. then tonight he used them again in the driving range and two of the heads came flying off, he's just wondering did anyone come across it before?????

My friend kept on losing heads off his rams brand off-brand irons.  Cleveland is a respected company though and I wouldn't expext that of them.  Tell your "hubby" to get them re-glued at some local golf shop and ask why the clubs are doing that.  You'll get more answers there than yahoo.

Those sound like knock offs.  Cleveland is a reputable company and that doesn't happen to Cleveland clubs.  He needs to take those back immediately.  I have never had a head pop off any club I have ever used.  Even the set I purchased from Wal-Mart.  I have hit some chunky shots and it has never happened.

You need to take them back and exchange them or get a refund. Sometimes heads do break off clubs, but this is generally a problem with cheap, crappy clubs. Cleveland does not make cheap, crappy clubs.

I hope you bought them at a real store. If you bought them on ebay or something they may have been fakes or did not have quality shafts on them (if they broke at the shaft).

Not with Cleavland's, but I had the heads off 4 Hippo's that were attached to carbon shafts, it very wise to stand back when I take a shot as its not only the ball that flies, these were second hand clubs so I'm not sure it will help solve your problem.

that is rare but it can happen, just tell him to return them to the place where he bought them at to exhange or refund.

you'll get refund/ replacement no problems, Cleveland clubs are good, dont let this put you off.

Should have bought Callaway's.

Just bring them back to where you bought them and they should take care of you!
