Bought some new eyeliner and mascara help?

i'm a 14 year old :)

okay today i went and bought an N.Y.C black liquid eyeliner, and of course that maybelline great lash (pink and green) just to try them out.

and i'm not sure i'm happy with the results and was wondering if my old eyeliner (pen) worked better. it just looks too fake on me because its kinda like inkish looking. so is it better with liquid or pen? what do you guys use?

NYC isn't really quality but its affordable.

If I were you i'd try Annabelle pencil in black its really smooth and it looks less inky like liquid does. I prefer pens because there easier to work with and not as messy.

You can use liquid but it can't look sloppy.

As for the mascara that maybelline mascara was something I first used but I think Revlon by far has the best mascara..the 3D stuff or any other Revlon Mascara works great, it makes your eyelashes look fantastic, if your going for a more mellow look use any mascara, but don't use Cover-Girl products cause they suck!

well if you starting out def go with a pen till you have apply it evenly try going in like small strokes

i totally think that pen eyeliner works soooo much better. it doesnt smudge like the liquid junk does. the pen eyeliner looks so more natural 2.

so i would stick 2 the pen eyeliner. :]

don't ever buy the maybeline great lash mascara, biggest disappointment. i use dior dramatic lash eye mascara, you can buy it at macy's. and for eyeliner I love to use pen the best because liquid does make you look inky. so for PEN eyeliner i would use covergirl. hope i helped. -marty jean baker

Wellllllll, to start off, I absolutely love Maybelline great lash. I like pen to line my lower eyelids and prefer liquid for upper lid, Pen comes out too thick on the upper lids. I apply the liquid really thin and and it looks great.

P.S. Don't use cheap stuff like NYC on your eyes. Stick to Revlon, CG, Max Factor, Maybelline, L'oreal, etc.
