i just bought a 96 mustang GT and i was wondering if I'm aloud to drive it. its from a private party i have the title, and bill of sale. i haven't registered it yet but i have heard that if u buy a car, you have like 3 days to drive it then u need to go to your insurance company and then you get another 7 days. does anyone know?

  1. For car insurance the easiest method to get a low quote is do a auto policy comparison. If you choose the same coverage amounts, you can get an accurate quote to compare against others. Use the same coverage area, car make/model, mileage and driving history to make sure you get an apples to apples comparison. To get fast auto insurance quotes, go to http://www.usinsuranceadvisor.com/Auto-I... and you can compare the major auto insurance companies.

  2. YOU can't drive without insurance,,,NO days..[ unless you have a current policy, then call ASAP]

  3. you heard wrong.

You need to insure the car to register it, and you need to register it to drive it. There is no trial period - if you get caught driving an unregistered and uninsured car, the police can arrest you, and if you get into an accident, you can get sued.

EDIT - you need to inform your insurance company of the change before the new car is covered, but you still need to register it. That's the law - if you have any doubts, ask a cop, he/she will confirm what I'm saying.
