Boulevard walking safety?

There is a Walgreens about a good 2 miles walking distance from where I live, and i need to buy stuff from there but I can't drive so I'm thinking of walking. But, for the first mile there is a Boulevard. It has two lanes, and no sidewalks but a thin, white lined path for bikes and on the same side of the bike path there are those barriers like on the highway. The Boulevard is not completely deserted, it has about 2 stops along the way on one side. Is it possible that I could walk without getting in trouble?

I would like to think that you would be safe,just be alert for crazy drivers.

Yes and I dont see why you would get into any trouble at all........
