  1. As one who has a very good knowledge of public transport in the UK, when I first read your question it did not make sense to me. So I went into the Journey Planner website (and having done so, I now realise why so many people think that access to public transport is difficult. The site is appalling.)

Anyway, I (eventually) got the answer I was seeking from Journey Planner.

National Express Coaches operate a coach service numbered "010" towards Cambridge. It does not pick up in Bow, so you first have to take bus service 25 to Stratford. The coach leaves from Stratford Bus Station (although service 25 drops you a short walk away at the Broadway).

The coach should (I emphasise "should") display

               "010   Madingley Road P&R"

on the destination screen, but one of the stops en-route is Drummer Street Bus Station in Cambridge.

I hope this answers your query; if not, e-mail me and I will try to help you further.

  2. My suggestion would be to take DLR and/or tube to Victoria Coach station, and then National Express - or Megabus (which is cheaper) if there is a service to Cambridge.
