I heard that if you put your baby in this position alot...it will force them to be bow legged. True? Here is what i am looking at buying...but if it will mess up my little lady's legs...i dont want to. Its super cute tho!

  1. no it wont cause harm. baby's bones are very soft and flexible at this point. if you had him in it 24 hours a day for months it would end up being a problem but with normal use he will be fine.

also  that wrap looks just like the style I have but it is way cheaper it is called a mobywrap . It is very comfortable and only about $40

  2. Nope, not true!  It's actually a very natural position for them to be in!!  Soft wraps like the one above, the Sleepy Wrap, and the Moby (which I have), are designed so there are no pressure points on your baby's fragile spine and hips.  You can literally wear your baby constantly and no harm can come of it!  :)

I have a Moby and a Babyhawk Mei Tai and still use them several times a week.  My healthy NON bow-legged little girl is 22 months.

  3. My Korean family carries babies like that, but its on their back instead of front, and my mom, aunts, uncles, and cousins and me and my sister aren't bow legged. and its fine but if you get worried, just massage her legs everytime you bathe her or change her diaper.

  4. Look...  I've been living in NYC for 2 years.  Nearly every woman in my neighborhood uses a similar wrap until the baby gets too heavy to carry, around 6 months.  None of them are bow legged.  Don't worry and go for.

  5. That is cute! but im not to sure if it would cause your baby to be bow legged?
