  1. Yes and yes. I know that savage archery makes a 2 pin pendulum sight. Depending on how experienced you are in bow hunting determines how many pins you need. A decently experienced hunter can use a single 20 yard pin and can shoot anywhere from 30 yards in. I would recommend getting a multi pin sight that way it eliminates a lot of guess work on where to hold the sight on farther distance shots. here is the web site for that pendulum sight http://www.savagearchery.com/page3.pdf Good luck!

  2.   No, it's not necessary , nor even desirable to have more then one pin on a pendulem sight- you are defeating the very purpose of a pendulem, to use one pin out to the maximum effective range of your bow. With some flat shooting bows this is out to forty yards, but the majority of bows will perform out to 30 to 35 yards at least. The advantage to the one pin system is no range estimation required - the pendulem does that for you. No guesswork involved.Get the tritium pin when you purchase your sight- they are worth their weight in gold in low light conditions. The Savage pendulem that I use came with the two pin system, which I found in a short while to be more of a hinderance then a help. I took it off pretty quick. Good luck and good hunting!
