Bowling long spells key before the first Test, feels http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TT-Bresnan-c2711 – Cricket News Update

England’s fast bowler, Tim Bresnan, believes that the practice matches during the tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 before the first Test are extremely important in order to prepare well for the five-day format, having only played T20 cricket in the last
couple of months.
The Poms are currently playing their first tour game against India ‘A’ at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820, which will be followed by another couple of games before the commencement of the first of the four-Test series at Ahmedabad on November, 15.
Led by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SK-Raina-c2539, the Test player, India ‘A’ won the toss and elected to bat first on day one. The home side posted a competitive total of 369 runs on the board, before being bowled out on the second morning of the match. Abhinav
Mukund, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yuvraj-Singh-c98364 scored brilliant half-centuries to help their team’s cause.
Bresnan was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors, picking up three wickets after giving away 59 runs. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501, the off-spinner, also picked up three victims.
The fast bowler expressed after day one that he has just been playing T20s over the last couple of months and bowling long spells in practice matches is going to be very helpful in preparing for the first Test.
"Overs under the belt is key in warm-up games, especially when we're playing Twenty20 cricket for quite a spell over the last month or so," Bresnan said. "So definitely, get a day out there, get a day in the legs, a day in the field.”
The experienced cricketer is impressed by the performance of some of the Indian batsmen, especially Tiwary, who scored 93 off just 150 balls with the help of a dozen boundaries. The all-rounder thinks that the pitch is good for batting
and expects his batsmen to pile up huge runs in their first innings.
"They played nicely, Tiwary played lovely but it seems like a nice wicket to bat on and obviously we'll know more after we have a go on it but it wasn't doing particularly much. And they dug in for a partnership when the going was good
so that's part of what cricket's about," he added.
