Box turtle out side???????

yea so im going to build a cage out of wood for my turtle when i move ok???so i was think what if he exscapes digs out of it i dont want that sooo what do you think?p.s.thanks

(for right now yntil wedsday can i feed my box turtle corn???

  1. Corn- No. Grains are not good for turtles.

    Box- a simple large Rubbermade tub works great, and is easy to clean, light to transport, etc.

When you build the enclosure,make sure to get 4 foot high boards.Sink two feet of the board under the ground.This way,the turtle cannot get out or dig underneath.Make it at least 4x6 feet and put plants and a shallow water dish,and a hide box.And yes,my turtles love sweet corn,but you need to find it some earthworms and slugs.Just do a search on box turtle care and feeding.

  3. Corn it's good, but he shouldn't be able to dig out. You can laydown some turff around the inside edges if you think your turtle will dig out, but it shouldn't be able too.
