  1. I know Julio Cesar Chavez ran his undefeated streak to 89-0 before fighting to a draw with Pernell Whittaker. I think that trumps ol' Grill Foreman.

  2. I don't know if it's the most of any fighter ever but probbly the most of the Hall of Famers is Jack Britton who had 344 career professional fights.  He won 104 lost 27 had 21 draws lost 2 by fouls had 2 no contests and 190 no decisions.

  3. archie moore...

    won 185 (KO 131) + lost 23 (KO 7) + drawn 11 = 220

    benny leonard

    won 183 (KO 70) + lost 18 (KO 4) + drawn 12 = 217

    willie pep

    won 229 (KO 65) + lost 11 (KO 6) + drawn 1 = 241

    ted (kid) lewis

    228 (KO 80) + lost 44 (KO 5) + drawn 23 = 300

    jack britton

    won 213 (KO 30) + lost 52 (KO 1) + drawn 42 = 350

    soldier bartfield

    won 120 (KO 34) + lost 68 (KO 5) + drawn 32 = 221

    sugar ray robinson

    won 173 (KO 108) + lost 19 (KO 1) + drawn 6 = 200

    maxie rosenbloom

    won 221 (KO 19) + lost 42 (KO 2) + drawn 32 = 298

  4. Modern era (say around the time of Ali and forward), it would be the great Julio Cesar Chavez with a record of 107 - 6 (86 KO).

If you want to go back to recorded boxing history, I'd go with the British lightweight Len Wickwar from the 1930's who had an astounding 465 fights in his career.  His record was a good 337 - 85 (93 KO)  though he did not face much world class competition.  Shoot, he's had more fights in one month than many pro's have in their careers!

A hall-of-famer with the most fights would be Jack Britton.  He compiled a record of 213-52-42 for a total of 350.

  5. Sam Langford was won 200 ( KO 30) + lost 47 ( KO 9) + drawn 46.

    Young Stribling was won 256 (128) + lost 16 (KO 1), drawn 15.

    Sugar Ray Robinson  was won 173 (KO 108) + lost 19 (KO 1) + drawn 6.

    Harry Grebb was won 260 (KO 48) + lost 21 (KO 2) + drawn 17

    Archie Moore was won 185 (KO 131) + lost 23 (KO 7) + drawn 11

    Maxie Rosenbloom  was won 221 (KO 19) + lost 42 (KO 2) + drawn 32

    Battling Levinsky was  won 195 (KO 31) + lost 54 (KO 4) + drawn 37

    Tiger Jack Fox was won 154 (KO 97) + lost 22 (KO 9) + drawn 12

    I could go on...

  6. Well, the guys above me pretty much summed it up, but there are several more fighters than the ones that you see listed who have way more than Foreman.
