  1. only if there was a late hit or an illegal move such as biting- good luck suing in the ufc where almost anything goes

  2. Not if the fight goes as one would reasonably expect a fight to go.

But as has been noted, if someone pulls a knife, guages out an eye, etc., then of course a lawsuit could be justified.  But hard punches, even potentially deadly hard punches, no.

  3. someone sued arturo gatti and the boxing organization their fight was under cuz he had constant headaches after a fight where gatti weighed like 11 lbs more than he was supposed to but stepped off the scale when it read the weight he needed to be. not sure how it turned out tho i think they might still b in court or sumthin

  4. In technical terms, they assume the risk of the employment.  It's clear they can't waive the possiblity of getting hurt in a fight.  Now, if in a fight, one of the combatants pulls out a gun and shoots the other, there might be a case, since no one could assume that that would occur.

  5. No they have to sign a waiver

  6. Well the promoters would not allow that, meaning they sign waivers before each fight,,,

Also if a boxer were to do this it would FO SHO ruin his reputation in the ring and no one would want to fight him

  7. Before a fight each side and boxer has to sign papers regarding both the rules and guidelines.
